Product CategoryMAG (myelin associated glycoprotein) is a Adhesion molecule in postnatal neural development that mediates sialic-acid dependent cell-cell interactions between neuronal and myelinating cells. Preferentially binds to alpha2,3-linked sialic acid. Isoform L-MAG is critical for the formation of myelin in the CNS, whereas isoform S-MAG is sufficient to maintain the integrity of myelin in PNS. Binds to RTN4R. single-pass type I membrane protein. Expressed by myelinating glial cells in the central an
Myosin, a structural component of muscle, consists of two heavy chains and four light chains. The protein encoded by this gene is a myosin light chain that may regulate muscle contraction by modulating the ATPase activity of myosin heads. The encoded protein binds calcium and is activated by myosin light chain kinase. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
spindle microtubules. The checkpoint works by inhibiting the activity of the anaphase promoting complex, thereby preventing the degradation of several cell cycle regulators. Like other spindle checkpoint mutants, MAD1 loss-of-function mutants are sensitive to benomyl and cannot delay cell division in response to spindle depolymerization. Mad1p becomes hyperphosphorylated upon spindle depolymerization.
